Before heading out--whether on a winter trip or planning for Memorial Day--be sure to look at the Sea Lion Gulch Detour. A major landslide changed the shape of this portion of the Lost Coast--what was always a tricky spot is now nearly impossible. A detour is in place. My other blog has the details. Definitely check out the link to the Youtube Video--it will give you and idea how important this detour is. Here's a photograph of us adding additional markings to the new route.
