Winter Conditions Forecast for this Weekend

Here it comes, folks! At long last a winter storm is forecast for this coming weekend. Snow levels will be low, there will be rain, and there will be cold. Creek levels will rise rapidly and creek crossings will be impossible. If you were thinking this was your weekend... think again! The Lost Coast Trail in winter conditions is not an adventure--it is a foolhardy endeavor. This weekend's storm combined with the forecast 8.8 high tide on Saturday night may mean camps that were high and dry all summer will be washed away.
